My 5 year old really loves me!

I remember my mom telling me years ago that her favorite age for her children was 5 and 6 years old because they love their mom so much. Pretty much mom can do no wrong. Well, lucky me, I am finding that to be true with Sam! Every day in school he makes me a picture or a card with me and Sam on it and he puts hearts all around us. The cards usually say "I luv you mom. Sam" If I come to help in his school class he gets so excited and smiles and waves and starts telling his friends, "that's my mom! that's my mom!" It just melts my heart! Sometimes he will just hug me and say "my mom" with a happy little sigh. Ahhhh....this is definitely love! Sadly though, I know this "mom is perfect" stage won't last and he is sure to be embarrassed to have me at school one day.....but, I am going to enjoy it while it lasts and keep hoping it will last for just a little longer...

Aren't I the luckiest mom?!

This is a card Sam made for me. It says, "I love you Mom. Its from you. Sam" I think he wanted it to say "its for you" He is such a sweetheart!

This is our house with mom and Sam downstairs and the rest of the family upstairs. He always smiles and laughs when he shows me that only the two of us are downstairs together.

He really is a sweet boy. Chloe runs to me when I go to her class, I am waiting for her teacher to get mad at her. :-) Sams pictures are awesome!!! There is a talent there!!!

That brings tears to my eyes! You are the lukiest mom. I love that part of life when you can do no wrong. Maybe that's why grandkids are so wonderful, they always make you feel like that! Sandy still ran to me in high school. :)

There is no law that says he can't love you forever. I always told my kids that I was their
"angel mother"
and now all these years later they will call and "How is my angel Mother" and I say "Waddya want" :o)
Nothing greater than being a Mom.

Ahh-so cute! Luke is 7 and will frequently and randomly say, "You're the best mom in the whole world." He is always drawing me pictures or making me stuff.
BUT, when he sees me at the school he acts as if he doesn't know who I am!!!! We are having lots of discussions about it being ok to love his mother in public as well as in private!

That is the sweetest thing! I hope Max feels that way about me in a couple of years. He's kind of turning into a Daddy's boy right now.

Gosh... I haven't been on your's or Mandi's blogspot in a long time. I forgot all about them and look what I've been missing!!! What a sweetheart your lil Sam is. Your Mom wrapped up my thoughts in her comment.
